Client brought in Macbook with the following symptoms:
Boots up to blue screen. Mouse pointer shows up on screen, and is able to be moved around, but desktop icons do not show up.
Diagnosis:
Hard drive has failed. Some of the system files have become corrupted and are causing the operating system not to boot up.
Solution:
Replace hard drive. Re-install operating system.
